The last country that we visited during our Asia tour end of 2024 was Vietnam
Vietnam
During our Asia tour in late 2024, Vietnam was high on our list of destinations. In the second half of November, the time had finally come, we flew from Siem Reap, Cambodia, to Ho Chi Minh City to start our Vietnamese adventure. We had set aside two and a half weeks for Vietnam. Of course, a longer stay would have been ideal, allowing us to explore even more, but sometimes, even during long-term travel, commitments call.
During this trip, we visited Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) and Hanoi, with stops in Hoi An and Hạ Long Bay along the way. Hoi An, located on the central coast, is one of Vietnam’s most popular and charming destinations, famous for its lantern-lit streets and well-preserved Old Town. Hạ Long Bay, a breathtaking seascape of limestone karsts, lies just a short journey from Hanoi in the north.
For the time we had, it was a well-balanced itinerary, but Vietnam has so much more to offer. Next time, we would love to explore the Mekong Delta, take on the Ha Giang Loop, or venture even further off the beaten path.
Vietnam more than exceeded our expectations, and we can confidently say, it is a fantastic destination worth visiting (again)! Ready to discover more? Read on!
