Why La Gomera is a Hiker’s Paradise

La Gomera may be small, but its hiking opportunities are monumental. From coastal paths to lush green forests, the island offers an incredible variety of landscapes. Trails are well-marked, with helpful signposts indicating distances, difficulty levels, and elevation changes. Tips Before You Start

  • Wear Proper Gear: Sturdy, waterproof hiking boots are essential; many trails are uneven, narrow, and steep.

  • Be Weather-Ready: High altitudes can bring sudden rain or fog, so dress in layers.

  • Hydrate and Pack Snacks: Some trails are remote, and services are limited.
